Project activities and outputs
The project is divided in two phases. Phase 1 running from Feb-May 2013 focusses on co-creation of a research project (including defining aims and objectives, a workplan and ethical principles of collaboration). Phase 2 running from Jul 2013-Jun 2014 focusses on research co-production and co-delivery. Follow the links to learn more about each phase.
Key reports and outputs
Final project report
The Connected Communities Summary Report for Scaling up presents the main theoretical background, the approach followed, as well as the key activities and outputs of the project.

Scaling up Co-design Booklet
The booklet was created to report the activities and insights gained from the project. We hope the reflections and concrete examples of how co–design has been used to enhance the impact and reach of our civil society organisations, and its social and economic value to people and communities, will inspire others to explore the potential of co–design and collaboration.

Scaling up co-design workshop and video
We held a final event on Wednesday 25th June in central London, to open up a discussion around co-design practices between civil society organisations, practitioners and academic institutions and how their impact and reach can be scaled up.
At this event, we shared stories and research findings from the project, explored the potential of co-design in different contexts and facilitated networking and exchange of ideas, knowledge and practices.
This event brought together academic, community and practitioner research partners to explore:
· The role of co-design in bringing positive change to people’s lives;
· The potential for creative and collaborative design of activities, programmes and practices to scale up impact and reach;
· How we can extend the practice of co-design through nurturing connections, networks and ambassadors.
